She has a an elder half-brother who was born to his father from his first marriage. Scarlett has an old sister Vanessa an actress and an older brother and two twin brothers. She is having American and Danish citizenship .  She did her schoolings in PS 41 in Greenwich Village, Manhattan.  She lived with her maternal grandmother after the age of 13 as her parents divorced. She considered her grandmother Sloan as her best friend . She was so interested in musical theaters.

Scarlett  and Canadian actor Ryan Reynolds were engaged in May 2008 and married  in September of that year. In 2010, the couple announced their separation, and subsequently divorced a year later in 2013, she became engaged to French journalist  Romain Dauriac, the couple married a year later in january2017, the couple announced their separation and subsequently divorced in March of that year . They have a daughter , Rode Dorothy Dauriac (born2014)
